About Racha Island

Known as Ao Bungalow or Ao Namta Tok, the Island boasts a fine beach sheltered by hills that stretch away from it like the two arms of a horseshoe. The pristine sands are sparkling and clean and crystal water as clear as those of the Similan Islands. Ao Siam, Ao Thu and especially Ao Kon Kae where coral reef are flourished, Ko Racha is also famous for diving, scuba diving and snorkeling to see colorful coral reef such as Staghorn coral and Soft coral.

To the south of Phuket lie the twin islands of Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi which offer significantly better diving than do Phuket's western beaches.

Racha Noi is popular for the more experienced diver, as depths are generally greater and the currents frequently stronger than at its sister island to the north.

Ban Raya is a very nice resort, not too big and not too small. the weather was perfect!!!! We had a FAN-ROOM, which was perfect. As we didn t stay in the room during day time. They turn on the electricity at 6pm which is about the time when you leave the beach and which is as well the time when it starts getting dark,... just the right time! The fan we had was absolutely sufficent. It never was too hot! The FOOD at the restaurant is excelent.
